AK stocks, wood butt stocks and sets

The butt stock is the separate assembly unit of small arms intended directly for a rest of the weapon in a shoulder of a shooter and for hand-to-hand fight.

AK stocks are subdivided into following types: stationary, folding stocks, removable. Butt stocks are made of plastic, laminated wood or steel (frame mold).

The butt as separate assembly unit is a part of such samples of the weapon, as SVD, АК-47/АКМ/АК-74, Kalashnikov's RPK/RPK-74 manual machine guns etc.

The majority of modern samples of domestic small arms have stationary wood butt stocks. We have brown AK wood stock set and light brown wood stock in our store. Advantages of such butts are convenience of the use of weapons in hand-to-hand fight and heightened stability at the shooting, provided with a stationary wood butt.

But the aspiration to receive smaller dimensions for convenience of carrying and actions from hatches of the tank or other shelter has led to a design with folding stock made of metal. Folding butts provide convenience of weapon usage in tanks, fighting vehicles, helicopters.
