Correct aiming of a weapon is a necessary condition for achievement of well-aimed shooting. Aiming is realized by means of special devices which are called as fire sights. It consists of a rear sight and a front sight.
AK sight should meet following requirements: convenience and stability of installation of a sight on various range of fire; support of accuracy of aiming; simplicity of design and manufacturing; possibility of easy and fast adjustment; durability and absence of saliences.
The elementary mechanical sights have got the greatest distribution in modern domestic small arms: a front sight and a rear sight.
Sector sights are the most perfect and consequently the most widespread type of mechanical sights in the modern automatic weapon. AK rear sight and ak front sight, PK PKM rear sight, RPK rear sight, SVD rear sight etc. have received the greatest application in Kalashnikov machine guns and submachine guns, carbine SKS, rifle SVD. The original ak sights made in the Soviet Union are widely presented on our online store. Front sight and rear sight are made by a method of exact molding from steel.
The rectilinear plank connected with a rear-sight base is a necessary detail of a sector sight. Sector sights do not limit a field of vision, promote fast detection of the target and make it possible to correct shooting range.
The sighting plank of Kalashnikov machine guns, RPD and SVD rifles has mobile sight. Such structure of a sighting plank is intended to make adjustment on a lateral wind and lateral motion of target.
There is a range scale on the sighting plank: for submachine guns AKM/AK-74 and manual machine guns RPK/RPK-74 with divisions from 1 to 10, for SVD rifle - from 1 to 12, for machine gun PK/PKM - from 1 to 15. For opening of immediate shooting a scale of aiming ranges of samples of Kalashnikov modifications have constant installation “П” (corresponding to a sight “3”), providing defeat of the targets at all ranges of direct shot.
