The stock ak is an integral part of submachine gun. While resting against a shoulder of the marksman it absorbs recoil, raises stability of the weapon at an aiming to a shot and increases a close grouping of shots. Its external appearance, simplicity and convenience of manufacturing, lightness and rigidity are also important.

There is a huge variety of forms and sizes of buttstocks. According to design ak stock is subdivided on fixed, demountable and folding. AK variant (АКС-47) with a folding metal stock was adopted for service with Airborne troops and crews of fighting machines.

Earlier it was made of wood, basically - nutwood. Cheaper submachine gun had wooden stocks from beech. Presently buttstocks are made of different kinds of material: metal, wood, plastic. During production of Kalashnikov modifications – AK-74 and АКС-74 – a wooden stock, lower handguard and receiver were replaced by plastic. The plastic stock under the form and convenience of holding is identical to a wooden. Thus the probability of splits and cracks occurrence on a buttstock and receiver decreases.

Time, practical application and casual blows leave the traces on buttstocks of submachine gun, therefore sometimes there is a necessity of their restoration. There is a wide choice of metal, wooden stocks and also sets stock for АК and RPK on our site. The set consists of buttstock, handguards and pistol grip. Set stock can be used for the basic modifications of AKs and Saigas. The metal buttstock corresponds to various modifications of АКSU, based on stamped receiver. Ak stocks is made of laminated wood. Most of them are original, which were used in Soviet and modern Russian armies. Stocks and sets stock are supplied from Soviet and Russian stocks. Some of them have never been used. The used are in perfect condition. The colour of wooden stocks is presented in big assortment: black, brown, pale brown, redwood.
