Izhmash presented four upgrad options for AK-74

September 27, 2012 the chief designer of "Izhmash" Vladimir Zlobin at a meeting of the Interagency Working Group for the Military-Industrial Commission presented four options upgrade AK-74. Cost of the solutions ranges from 2000 to 10000  RUR, depending on the complexity of the implementation and machine configuration.

This will give the ability to set the collimator, optical and electro-optical sights, with the base side of the "dovetail" and allow a transition with the bracket kit to install a Picatinny bar. Replacement of the pivot make possible the installation of the infrared illuminator with a laser designator, range finder and front grip.

In a more advanced modernization version AK-74 is ready to complement the handguard with Picatinny strap, front folding handle, telescopic butt, the ergonomic pistol grip and magazine with the ammunition visual control.
